After the successful bootcamp we held in Chile, we have convened a new training initiative for young leaders: the Workshop on Strategic Advocacy.
The event will take place in Madrid, from November 29th to December 3rd of this year, within the framework of the VI Transatlantic Summit that will gather political representatives from all over the world in the Spanish Senate.
The workshop will provide participants with a set of tools to effectively influence legislative and governmental decisions in their communities in favor of life, family and fundamental freedoms.
Despite the intense political and economic pressure exerted by international organizations to impose an ideological agenda, some countries have resisted thanks to the work of organizations that influence decision-makers.
Thus, ‘advocacy’ – organized action to strategically influence political decisions in favor of a particular cause or agenda – has become one of the most effective ways to resist ideological colonialism.
The workshop is part of the Youth Program, a commitment of Political Network for Values (PNfV) to form and train young people in political leadership by offering them the opportunity to learn from the best experts and to come into direct contact with those who are actively engaged in promoting and defending the values we share in the governmental and legislative spheres.
The profile for applicants is: young men and women, from 18 to 30 years old, who are leaders of political, social or cultural organizations committed to life, family or liberties; who are in communion with the values promoted and defended by PNfV; who want to have a more articulate impact on their environment; and who speak English.
Participants will live an extraordinary five-day training experience. The first two days will focus on intense training with Neydy Casillas and Carlos Beltramo, two of the best advocacy specialists in the Americas and Europe, and with political members of our Network. The remaining three days will be spent as part of the team of volunteers for the VI Transatlantic Summit, in a unique experience to establish contacts and cooperation ties.
This is a joint initiative of our Network with the Global Center for Human Rights, the Population Research Institute and the Center for Studies, Formation and Social Analysis.
