Federal judge suspends application of the law that legalized abortion in Argentina

F2

Good news from Argentina. Celestial victory. Judge Alfredo López de Mar de Plata has decided to suspend the Abortion Law.

Specifically, the inapplicability of the law of access to the voluntary interruption of pregnancy, Law 27,610, is decreed.

Moreover, it orders the national executive power to suspend the application of the aforementioned norm, protocols and resolutions until the substantive issue is resolved, which is none other than the unconstitutionality of the abortion law approved last December.

And it is that the Argentine Constitution defends the right to life from the moment of conception just like art. 4 of the American Convention on Human Rights. That is why there is a great judicial movement in the Argentine provinces to achieve the unconstitutionality of the law.
