Resist the pressures of the “gender department” and break the “progressive consensus.” Defend and strengthen the family in the street, the media, schools, spaces of power and parliaments. Reject and repeal any law that embraces the ideological concept of “gender”. These are the coordinates proposed by half a hundred politicians from 26 European and American countries in the most recent Transatlantic Dialogue organized by the Political Network for Values.

The conversation “A political response to the Gender Ideology” was held on March 12 with the presence of around 50 parliamentarians, members of governments, party leaders, judges and promoters of justice from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia , Ecuador, Slovakia, Spain, United States, Guatemala, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, Norway, Mexico, and Uruguay, among others.

Two hundred leaders of citizen organizations attended the event. Divided into two parts, the initial interventions, to frame the dialogue, were made by Lorcan Price, academic and legal advisor to ADF International; Rocío Monasterio, VOX deputy in the Spanish Congress and president of the acronym in Madrid; and Joseph Backholm, Board Member of the Family Research Council.

Prince presented the international legal panorama and described the momentum that the gender agenda has experienced in recent decades thanks, among other factors, to the incidence of pressure groups.

Backholm made an X-ray of the perspective assumed by those who defend gender identity as a subjective reality and without any correspondence with the biological aspects of the person, explained the medical reality of gender dysphoria and its difference with the ideological mentality of transgenderism, and he pointed out the essential lines that categorize the latter as an imposture.

He indicated that there are people who experience difficulty identifying with the sex with which they were born, that is gender dysphoria, a real medical phenomenon, between 80 and 95% of adolescents who suffer from gender dysphoria resolve it over time, without intervention, there is a natural fit of your mind with your body.

“The question we have to ask is: when the mind and the body are not aligned, which one is designed to change? or how are they aligned? What we are hearing today with gender theories is that what has to change is the body, but what is designed to change is the mind, not the body. Monastery, for its part, opened the doors of concrete political experience: it presented the progress that the ideological gender agenda has had in Spain, in all areas of social life, pointed out how the field of education has an importance and explained how his party, VOX, has given a frontal battle to this ideology, which won them the support of wide sectors of the population, and even some sectors of the traditional left fed up with the irrationality of the extremists’ demands.
