On November 6, the public hearing was held in the plenary of the House of Representatives of the Congress of Colombia with the participation of congressmen, health professionals, universities, researchers, academics and civil society organizations to provide an opportunity to debate the euthanasia bill.
After an extensive debate 68 of the 70 participants asked the bill to be shelved because it violates the dignity of the person and it goes against the norm and spirit of the Colombian constitution.
