On the fifth day of its second term, the administration of <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong> made official the return of his country to the international coalition that promotes women&#8217;s health, the defense of life in all its stages, the integrity of the family and the sovereignty of nations.<\/p>\n<p>Through a <span style=\"color: #007ba6;\"><a style=\"color: #007ba6;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theiwh.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Diplomatic-Note-Rejoining-the-Geneva-Consensus-Declaration-Coalition-EXEC-2025-08.pdf\">diplomatic note signed this Friday<\/a><\/span>, January 24, the <strong>United States Mission to the United Nations<\/strong> \u00a0requested the country&#8217;s entry into the coalition and Secretary of State <strong>Marco Rubio<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #007ba6;\"><a style=\"color: #007ba6;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/united-states-renewed-membership-in-the-geneva-consensus-declaration-on-promoting-womens-health-and-strengthening-the-family\/#:~:text=Today%2C%20the%20United%20States%20informed,has%20more%20than%2035%20signatories.\">confirmed it to the press<\/a><\/span>, expressing the Trump administration&#8217;s commitment \u201cto the promotion of women&#8217;s health and the preservation of family values.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The initiative was launched in 2020, originally promoted by the United States, Hungary, Egypt, Brazil, Indonesia and Uganda. President Joe Biden withdrew the United States from the coalition in January 2021. With the rejoining of the U.S., the alliance reaches 40 member countries.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Declaration<\/em> has proven to be an effective diplomatic tool for governments to resist pressures exerted by international organizations to, for example, impose abortion as a so-called \u201cright\u201d or introduce regulations that violate the family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Valerie Huber<\/strong>, president of the <strong>Institute for Women&#8217;s Health<\/strong>, the lead sponsor of the coalition, congratulated President Trump \u201cfor his courageous leadership and for keeping his promise to rejoin\u201d the initiative he helped found.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a defining moment for the advancement of women\u2019s authentic health, national sovereignty, and the fight against ideological colonialism [&#8230;] This decisive action will restore America\u2019s leadership in global health diplomacy, empowering nations to prioritize women\u2019s health over divisive political agendas,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bText\">\n<p class=\"insertarContenidoBanner\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/s\/0ahf2l55y1vmjsl\/Geneva-Consensus-Declaration-ES_OCT_2020.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #007ba6;\">The full text of the <em>Geneva Consensus Declaration<\/em> can be read here<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The United States rejoins the Geneva Consensus Declaration.
