The III Transatlantic Summit will bring together representatives of 30 countries in the Congress of the Republic of Colombia, on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 April. The theme of this edition will be Before the height of the global crisis: solid principles for a better future<\/em><\/strong> and will bring together political leaders, representatives of civil society, academics and young people from Europe, Latin America, North America and other regions of the world. The hosts of the Summit are the Colombian Senator Mar\u00eda del Rosario Guerra and Jaime Mayor Oreja, President of the Political Network for Values.<\/p>\n

The objective of the Summit is to offer an essential response at a crucial moment in history. The gradual establishment of relativism in all areas has resulted in a liquid society, devoid of permanent references, and in a crisis of civilization. Faced with the upsurge of the offensive on a global scale – gender ideology, anti-natalism, populism, corruption, organized crime … – it is urgent to affirm solid principles on which to build the future: human dignity, the right to life, essential role of the family and the institution of marriage, the strengthening of freedoms, religious freedom and conscience, freedom of education, always from the honesty in the management of public resources.<\/p>\n

The inaugural session will consist of a dialogue on freedoms in the international political scene, with the participation of \u00c1lvaro Uribe, Senator and Ex-President of Colombia, Zolt\u00e1n Balog, President of Foundation for a Civic Hungary and commissioner of the Prime Minister of Hungary, and Ricardo V\u00e9lez Rodr\u00edguez, Minister of Education of Brazil.<\/p>\n

This meeting was held in New York and Brussels, and will be the first to be hosted in Latin America.<\/p>\n
