The movement for the abolition of surrogacy is coming to the Transatlantic Dialogues<\/strong>, organized by Political Network for Values<\/strong>, this May. The webinar will take place next Thursday 23th.<\/p>\n

Is it possible to “rent” a womb without violating human dignity? Is motherhood something that can be leased? Is it ethical for babies to be commercialized? Is surrogacy a new form of slavery? Is it possible to establish an international standard for its abolition? These and other questions will guide the colloquium.<\/p>\n

The movement for the abolition of surrogacy has been growing in recent years in the face of various attempts to legalize the practice in several countries, and has unique and hopeful characteristics: it values both the surrogate mother and the unborn child; it firmly rejects the “objectification” of the human being; it brings together people with the most diverse political and ideological positions, from the left to the right; and it was practically born as a global movement.<\/p>\n

Join a conversation on this very interesting topic with Ylenja Lucaselli<\/strong>, member of the Italian Parliament and of the Fratelli d’Italia<\/strong> party; Emma Waters<\/strong>, researcher at The Heritage Foundation<\/strong>; and Bernard Garc\u00eda Larra\u00edn<\/strong>, coordinator and promoter of the Casablanca Declaration for the Universal Abolition of Surrogate<\/strong><\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n
