The successful political experience that has halted the advance of abortion in the United States will be presented in Spain, through the voice of some of its protagonists, at the seminar \u201cUSA: Abortion is not a right<\/strong>\u201d which takes place today,\u00a0Monday, June 19<\/strong>, at the San Pablo CEU University in\u00a0Madrid, from 4 to 8 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event is organized \u2013 in conjunction with the\u00a0Political Network for Values<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 by\u00a0Familia y Dignidad Humana<\/strong>, the\u00a0European Federation One Of Us,<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0Spanish Federation of Pro-Life Associations<\/strong>, the\u00a0Assembly of Associations for Life<\/strong>, the\u00a0San Pablo CEU University Foundation<\/strong>,\u00a0CEFAS<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0NEOS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The change of course in American society since the repeal of Wade v. Roe, with almost half of the states of the Union passing laws restricting abortion to varying degrees, is the result of a cultural and political process that has been going on for over a decade. At the international seminar held in the Spanish capital, the key elements and the various stages of this process will be presented.<\/p>\n

Among the speakers are\u00a0Amy Sinclair<\/strong>, president of the Iowa Senate,\u00a0Eddie Lucio Jr<\/strong>., former Texas state senator,\u00a0John M. Klink<\/strong>, diplomatic negotiator before the United Nations and\u00a0Joseph Grogan<\/strong>, former director of Domestic Policy during the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

Also\u00a0Wendy Wright<\/strong>, president and CEO of Christian Freedom International and former president of Concerned Women for America;\u00a0Alejandro Bermudez<\/strong>, executive director of Tilma Strategies;\u00a0Kelsey Wicks<\/strong>, executive director of ACI\/EWTN Group;\u00a0Carrie Severino<\/strong>, professor of law and president of Judicial Crisis Network;\u00a0Jane Adolphe<\/strong>, professor of law at Ave Maria School of Law, Florida, and founder and executive director of the International Catholic Jurist Forum;\u00a0Clarke Forsythe<\/strong>, legal expert with Americans United for Life (AUL); and\u00a0William L. Saunders<\/strong>, professor at The Catholic University of America and director of the Human Rights Master\u2019s Program at the Institute for Human Ecology.<\/p>\n

The event is\u00a0hybrid<\/strong>\u00a0in two ways: some of the lectures will be face-to-face and others will be online; and participants will be able to be on-site or follow the event online.<\/p>\n
